① The sofa should be placed on a flat surface, and soft cushions should be placed at the bottom of the four corners to prevent damage to the floor when moving.
② Before use, wipe off the dust and dirt on the surface of the sofa with a clean soft cloth. If it is made of cowhide (genuine leather), gently wipe the sofa surface with a care agent one to two times before use (do not use wax care products). This will form a protective film on the cowhide (genuine leather) surface, making it difficult for dirt to penetrate into the pores of the leather in the future and facilitating cleaning in the future.
③ Avoid jumping on the seat surface of the sofa to prevent deformation due to local compression, which may affect its use.
④ Avoid contact surfaces with sharp angles or cutting tools to prevent scratching the fabric.
⑤ Long term exposure to sunlight on sofas should be avoided, which can cause deformation and loss of elasticity of leather fabrics. If there is frequent exposure to sunlight, several sofas should be adjusted to different positions at regular intervals to prevent significant color differences;
⑥ Avoid rain or excessive moisture that can cause the leather surface to expand, loosen, lose elasticity, or cause the leather to fade, discolor, or mold. If encountering places with high humidity, you can use weak sunlight from 8am to 10am for 7 days, 1 hour per day, about once every 3 months.
⑦ Daily maintenance: Use a clean soft cloth to regularly wipe away fabric stains or dirt. The gap between the back, armrest, and seat surface can be cleaned with a vacuum cleaner to remove debris. It is prohibited to use wet fabrics, hard objects, or chemical substances such as acid and alkali in contact with fabrics to avoid affecting surface quality and service life.
⑧ Regular maintenance: The surface of cowhide has pores, which are maintained in dry and wet seasons just like human skin maintenance. Clean and lubricate every two months during dry season, and maintain every 3-4 months during normal season.
Steps:
a, After wiping the surface of the sofa with a clean soft cloth, the leather fabric can be evenly wiped with leather cleaner or polish, and then wiped with a clean soft cloth later. Alternatively, dilute neutral detergent (1% -3%) with warm water and wipe it first, then use wrung out water to remove the cleaning solution, and finally polish it with a dry cloth. After it is completely dry, use an appropriate amount of leather conditioner to wipe it evenly.
b, Textile fabrics such as cotton, linen, and synthetic fibers are sensitive to acidic substances and should be disassembled for dry cleaning. They cannot be washed with water and bleaching is prohibited. If loose threads are found, they cannot be torn off by hand and should be neatly cut flat with scissors.
⑨ Avoid dirtying the sofa with oil stains, ballpoint pens, ink, etc. If accidentally dirtied, the sofa should be cleaned immediately with leather cleaner. If there is no leather cleaner,. The sandpaper sofa cannot be cleaned using the above methods (except for oil stains on the leather). It can be gently brushed with a fine copper brush to restore its beauty.
⑩ The placement of the sofa should be 5-10mm away and maintain ventilation.
When the movable parts of the sofa are not flexible or the metal parts, connectors, etc. are loose, the connecting screws should be tightened or lubricating oil should be added appropriately.
When the paint on the wooden handrail turns white due to contact with excessively wet objects, a damp hot towel should be used to cover the white area until it fades.
13. Precautions for cleaning cowhide:
a, Spray the handheld product onto a surface about 10cm away, spraying a portion each time until it becomes moist.
b, Wash a damp towel or sponge with clean water (warm water can be used when the leather is particularly dirty), wring it out by hand, and gently rub and wipe the leather to remove dust and dirt. Rinse the towel, wipe off the cowhide leather, and remove dust and dirt.
c, Continue cleaning the towel and repeat the above steps until the cleaning section is completed. Let the cowhide dry naturally and avoid direct exposure to heat or sunlight.
d, After each cleaning, use leather protectant for care.
How to use leather protectant
Rinse the towel (or any soft, non fading cloth) with clean water, wring it dry by hand, fold it up, hold the folded towel in hand, spray leather protectant until slightly wet, wipe the leather, gently rub, do not rub forcefully, wipe each part in sequence, repeat spraying protectant to maintain
The fabric remains slightly damp until the care procedure is completed, restoring the elasticity of the leather and extending the lifespan of the sofa.
